Rather than adding chlorine manually, the Chilli Mineral 200 generates it continuously from mineral salt already dissolved in the water. The Chilli Controller manages output levels and run
times automatically so your pool stays sanitised without constant attention.

Magnesium mineral salt is gentler on skin, eyes, and pool surfaces than traditional high-salt systems, and the lower salinity means less wear on equipment and pool finishes over time. The result is water that feels noticeably softer and cleaner, with reliable protection running quietly in the background.

What's the difference between a mineral pool and a standard saltwater pool?

A standard saltwater pool uses sodium chloride at 4,000-6,000 ppm. The Chilli Mineral 200 uses magnesium mineral salts at 2,000-3,000 ppm - significantly lower salinity with a noticeably softer feel. Magnesium is gentler on skin, eyes, and pool surfaces than standard salt.

Do I still need to add chlorine to a mineral pool?

No - the Chilli Mineral 200 generates chlorine automatically from the dissolved mineral salt. You will still need to monitor and occasionally adjust pH, stabiliser, and calcium hardness.

Is the Mineral 200 the same chlorinator used in FreshWater and AutoCare?

No. FreshWater and AutoCare use the Chilli Fresh 280, engineered for approximately 900 ppm. The Mineral 200 is specific to the MineralWater system.
