Chilli Comfort Heat Pump

Pool heating has traditionally meant a choice between performance and cost. The Chilli Comfort removes that trade-off. InverPad technology modulates compressor speed intelligently - running at full capacity to heat quickly, then stepping down to a lower, more efficient output to maintain temperature. The result is up to 45% less energy use compared to traditional fixed-speed heat pumps.

At the heart of the system is a Mitsubishi DC twin-rotary inverter compressor and a twisted titanium heat exchanger that delivers up to 40% higher efficiency than standard titanium exchangers. The electronic expansion valve (EEV) provides 10x more precision in gas flow control, optimising efficiency across all operating conditions. A 4-way valve enables fast reverse-cycle defrosting, keeping performance consistent even in cold weather.

Noise is genuinely not an issue. The side-in/rear-out airflow design keeps operation as low as 42 dB(A) - that's quieter than a whisper, and up to 10 times quieter than standard on/off heat pumps. Silence mode drops that further at the cost of a small reduction in heating capacity. Useful overnight or when the neighbours are close.

Control is via the Chilli app and set temperature, switch between Boost and Silence modes, set timers, and monitor from anywhere. The Chilli Comfort mounts directly on top of the HushHub Control, keeping the entire system compact and contained.

What size heat pump do I need for my pool?

As a general guide: 9kW suits pools up to 50,000 litres, 16kW up to 70,000 litres, 20kW up to 90,000 litres, and 24kW up to 110,000 litres. The 35kW is for larger pools. Your installer will size the unit correctly based on your pool, climate, and usage.

Will the heat pump work in winter?

Yes. The Chilli Comfort operates in air temperatures as low as -5°C. The 4-way valve enables automatic defrosting in cold conditions to maintain performance year-round.

How much does it cost to run?

The Chilli Comfort achieves a COP of up to 15 - meaning 15kW of heat output per 1kW of electricity used. Running cost depends on pool size, target temperature, and local climate, but it's one of the most cost-efficient heating options available.

Does the heat pump work with my existing Chilli system?

Yes the Chilli Comfort heat pumps integrate directly with the HushHub Control and Chilli app. They mount on top of the HushHub Control and connect into the Chilli system. Your installer will confirm compatibility.

How loud is it when it's running?

At minimum speed the Chilli Comfort runs as low as 42 dB(A) up to 10 times quieter than standard on/off heat pumps. Silence mode reduces this further for overnight use or in noise-sensitive situations.
